4.0 RC 2; problem noted on Wine under Linux (low priority problem)
Installation on a "damaged" system when the PATHEXT variable does not exist fails to either note that the variable does not exist nor set the PATHEXT variable.
I think in the next release canidate, that we are going to do very soon, you would see a message box saying that there is a problem with PATHEXT and you need to set it manually. I noticed a slight problem with my logic in this area a few days ago and fixed it.
Could you please retest this when you get the next release candiate. Thanks.

Accidently set this to a Feature Request, changing it back.
Appears to be working.
