When i try to add a hostname with a hyphen "-" it fails. When i remove the hyphen it works.

Tested this on the latest beta, and it still failes.

Also tried "_" underbar instead and named doesn't allow that.

This was a bug earlier. It should be OK in the latest beta. I just tested on my system and I can add machines with hypens (-) successfully.

Are you adding to the local mysql database or an IPA server?
