To provide "Editing Behaviour Options" as in OmegaT, and preferably with enhancements in keeping with the spirit of OmegaT+ such as ability to make a priority list including (1) X% fuzzy matches, (2) Machine Translation OR Original OR Blank...
Sorry, I made it sound more complicated than it is ;-)
What I meant was basically OmegaT Editing Behaviour dialog PLUS Machine Translation option... Their option list includes "The source text" (which you would perhaps say "original" and "Leave the segment empty" while OmegaT+ might add "Machine Translation" option here.
Users may then decide which of these 3 methods will be applied if there's no fuzzy match at or above X percent...

I have another OmegaT PLUS feature suggestion under this topic:
Having an option to automatically "Insert Original" when a segment text is marked in a certain manner, e.g. <text> or <<text>> or [Text]
There might even be an industry-standard that I don't know...</text></text>

Not sure about the general usefulness of that. It can definitely work, but how many people are going to use it? Myself, I do not think that many users will make use of it because it will require them to revise original documents to make it work. And that is basically just going through the segments in a manner, as you would inside the program anyway.
I am not ruling it out, I just do not have examples of it being used in other programs or it being demanded by enough users to make it a practical use of time to develop this feature at this point. If there are examples, or a standard, I would like to know more, then it can be prioritized accordingly.

Asa translator, I sometimes get such documents from my clients, e.g. several lines of
marked liked this, or sometimes [comments] marked like this, etc. Sometimes they don't want the red text segments to be translated... I don't know, but most translators should be receiving these... So, if the program could be told by the user to automatically skip (insert original?) segments marked in a user-selectable way, I thought it would be useful for all...

Okay, was intending to put some of that in. Thanks for the reminder.
Please explain a little more about your priority listing idea, if you can.

Okay, I can do something with this.
