In the Create New Project dialog box, in the File Locations section, one of the folders to specify is that of the relevant glossaries. Then the next thing to select is the writable glossary file. Rather than having to wade through the whole process again of selecting the folder and then choosing the specific glossary, it would save time for the program to just assume that the writable glossary file is located in the glossary folder that I just selected.
In fact, in rare cases when I have selected a writable glossary file that is not in the same folder, I get an error message saying it should be in the same folder. The program is already assuming that it should be in the same place, so it shouldn't be a problem to make this the default option.
Oh, I think "Group" refers to the program's version number. It should say 3.0, but I don't know how to change that now.
That's already developed in SVN (/trunk). I copy below the text from changes.txt:
The default name of the writeable glossary was changed,
to make it more useful in various circumstances. If the glossary folder
is within the project, the glossary file will now be named glossary.txt
instead of <project-name>-glossary.txt. That way, in case of team projects
everyone downloading the project will have the same writeable glossary, regardless
of the local name of the folder. If the glossary folder is outside the project,
the default name will <project-name>-glossary.txt as before, so that all glossary
names will be different when one uses a central glossary repository. There is a further enhancement: when changing the location of the glossary folder, it was previously necessary to change by hand the location of the writeable glossary, otherwise an error message occurred. Now, when the location of the glossary folder is changed, the glossary path name (if it was a default glossary name) is changed automatically.
Implemented in the released version 3.1.0 of OmegaT.
