Per a report in the user group, the current capitalization-matching behavior when using glossary auto-replacement (Preferences > Glossary > Replace glossary hits when inserting source text) can have undesirable results.

In particular, the inserted term will be adjusted to match the capitalization of the source word, but there are cases where a glossary entry's source and target terms have very different capitalization (for instance abbreviations; e.g. from the user group thread: EGR = pakokaasun takaisinkierrätys).

This RFE changes the behavior on auto-replacement so that no case-matching is performed if the glossary source term and the term matched in the translation source text have identical cases. Example:

Glossary:

  1. foo = bar
  2. BAZ = boom

Source:

This FOO Foo is a BAZ Baz.

Replacement result:

This BAR Bar is a boom Boom.
