When LibreOffice or MS Office underline a word due to spelling or grammar corrections, then OmegaT recognizes this as a tagged format. Since these tags contain actual information, they tend not to be removed in the first levels of Tagwipe. If we turn off spell-checking, then these types of tags will disappear from the source file as well.
Another possible cause for unwanted valid tags is the tracking of changes. To remove these tags it is not sufficient to make the changes not-visible. To remove the corresponding tags from the source the recording of changes must be disabled and all changes must be accepted.
