Hi folks,

I am new to this forum and I am not sure if this is the correct place for my query. Please direct me to the right place if need be.

A client of mine sent me an OmegaT package (.omt) that contains just one memoQ file (.mqxliff) for translation. I used memoQ to translate its native file but my client wants me to return the OmegaT package as translated. Basically the OMT file is a zip archive, and I managed to unpack it, so far so good. But now I need to somehow add my translation to the target folder, I guess. Would it work for me if I simply paste the target mqxliff file into the target folder of the OmegaT project and then repack zip back to omt?

I can't test it by myself because I can't open the OMT file. According to the online OmegaT manual there must be an option for OMT files, but in fact there is no such option in the recent version 6.0.0. What am I doing wrong? How can I open an OMT package in OmegaT? Thank you.

This tracker is for documentation issues (problems in the manual, etc.) If you are looking for user support, please ask the user group. You’ll find it in the "Mailing Lists" tab above.

On a side note, you should ask your client how to handle OMT packages. OmegaT does not come with a package system by default.
