I would say that pain is a physiological process in a person (maybe with=
side-effects that might be described with other entities, e.g. qualities of=
experience). Coldness as a physical quality inheres in the liquid nitrogen,=
and maybe in your finger when you put it into the nitrogen long enough, but=
it is not inherent in the process of pain.
