Hi Bjoern, Are you using PC? If so, after download the file, unzip it. Then go to "start menu", find "Run". Click it will pop-up a small window. Type "cmd" to open DOS command window. In the DOS window, go to the directory where you put the unzipped protege file. Using "cd" to change the directory or "dir" to check what files in the current directory. For example, you unzip the Protege file under directory "C:\Protege4". When you open the Dos window using "cmd" command. It will show something like this: 'C:\Documents and Settings\Jie' Type 'cd C:\Protege4'. Now you will go the Protege4 directory. Please key in 'dir' to check the files in this directory. You can see there is a file named as 'run.bat'. Now, type 'run', it will start Protege 4.1. Sorry I didn't put this information since it is the way to start Protege 4.1 in PC and I thought many people have started the pProtege using this way before. If you don't know how to do it, I think it should be common issue. I will post the tutorial about starting Protege 4.1 in PC with some screenshots soon. The OBI friendly version of Protege 4.1 has no executable file. You need to start it using command line. The one you can download from Protege download page not always worked. I tried several times and had problem to load imported ontologies. Thanks, Jie Bjoern Peters wrote: > Sorry, this instructions leave me confused.
