plan branch review -- nice work, but need to re-locate the mo-specific terms, possibly. (1) programming language is a format for a plan so is data format specification if these are to be plans (eg code written in a programming language) they need to be redefined (2) algorithm needs a definition; Wikipedia: an algorithm is a type of effective method in which a definite list of well-defined instructions for completing a task, when given an initial state, will proceed through a well-defined series of successive states, eventually terminating in an end-state. The transition from one state to the next is not necessarily deterministic; some algorithms, known as probabilistic algorithms, incorporate randomness. (3) protocol needs children, for instance assay protocol, experiment protocol we have several use cases of test name which might be considered to be shorthand for protocol subclass (4) how is investigation design different from study design? (5) the definitions are not aristotelian :) (6) instruction triggers are great! (7) definitions of experimental design types are are not study designs; possibly these could move to MA experiment protocol subclass of protocol? matched pairs design should be part of intervention design reference design and parallel group design are not disjoint time-series child of study design definition refers to group of assays, ratehr than a study design cheers! ...jennifer Jennifer Fostel, Ph.D. CEBS Scientific Administrator SRA International Laboratory of Respiratory Biology NIEHS, NIH PO Box 12233 Mail Drop F1-05 111 Alexander Drive Research Triangle Park NC 27709-2233 phone 919 541 5055 fax 919 541 1460 |
