Hi Vito, I installed the wireless-tools package and then entered the key and the network name in the file "/etc/network/interfaces". I pasted the contents of this file below (enter your network name and your key in the marked places). You might have to change "eth0" to the interface name the Orinoco driver has got on your system. In the wireless-tools package there should also be tools to configure the "interfaces" file but I found it easier to do it myself. For further information you should read the man-pages of the wireless-tools. ------------------------------------------------- # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5). # The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback # The primary network interface auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp # wireless-* options are implemented by the wireless-tools package wireless-mode managed wireless-essid <network name> wireless-key <key in hex> ------------------------------------------------- After you changed the "interfaces" file you should be able to connect with the command "ifup eth0" (or whatever interface name your card has got). On every restart the connection should then be established automatically. Tobias Am 12.02.2006 um 00:29 schrieb Vito: > Tobias I have the orinoco card classic gold.
