Hello. I am getting the following error, after including the library file (via a ".include"): Error on line 7 : .lib total unimplemented control card - error Error on line 10 : mdut0 3 2 9 9 pch_mac w=1.0000u l=0.0400u Unable to find definition of model pch_mac - default assumed Error on line 11 : mdut1 3 2 0 0 nch_mac w=0.5000u l=0.0400u Unable to find definition of model nch_mac - default assumed I should be able to use .Lib 'filepath' lib_name (according to Meta-Software's HSPICE manual, dated 1996), but that does not work. This has been a pretty standard Spice for a long time, so I am curious as to how a ".lib" control card could go unimplemented. I am trying to use open-source programs, particularly from gEDA, but they just do not work in an IC design arena. I do not understand why "Verilog AMS" function is more important to ngspice (tclspice), and iverilog, rather than having a functional open-source alternative to $10k, if not $100k, spice and verilog/synthesis tools. [Not to mention the lack of static timing, LVS/DRC, layout (is Magic dead?), and other useful tools]. I understand time and energy restrictions, and that contributions would help. But: give [small] design companies a real alternative to the huge price tags from Synopsis, Cadence, Mentor (and others), and there would be money to put to the place(s) from where the tools came. (I know that this is an ngspice arena, but it is all from gEDA). IM(H)O, any corporation that uses these tools _successfully_, rather than HAVING to spend tens-to-hundreds of thousands of dollars, would "do the right thing" and provide funding in the thousand(s) range, at the very least.
