The is an installer bug in all stable 1.2.x versions, which did not correctly set the permissions for profile.dat on a new installation. As of snapshot-20060325 and later, this bug is fixed. However, I must admit, that I was obviously not clear in communicating this bug on the list, which cost you time to fix. I'm sorry for that. I will put all new bugs in the bugs DB @ sourceforge. Of course feel free to file a bug yourself, if you find one.
