#163 Menu items show up as sqaure boxes again

Hello there,
I also have a problem with the fonts in nedit. I
installed it with a SUSE Linux 7.3. First i could not
read the menu-items because there where not letters but
square boxes insted. I could fix that by adding a line
of the form "nedit*fontList: <font>" to my .Xdefaults
(adding the same to .nedit did not help!). But still I
can't read the directories and file-names in the open
and save dialouges. Is there another switch for the
X-resources similar to the former?

Yes, there are some. Here are the Nedit's font-related X resources
that I've been using for years:

nedit*fontList: -adobe-helvetica-bold-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*
nedit*XmList.fontList: -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*
nedit*XmText.fontList: -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*
nedit*XmTextField.fontList: -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*
nedit*helpText.font: -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*

The resource nedit*helpText.font is now obsoleted in the dev
version 5.3; nedit*helpFont is used instead.

To follow up my own posting, I just remembered another resource
intended for file open/save/etc. dialogs:

nedit*FileSelect*XmList.fontList:-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*
