File->Open
Edit filter to /home/chrisr/nedit-5.2/sour*
Click Filter
Edit filter to /home/chrisr/nedit-5.2/*
Click Filter
Directories disappear!

Double-click twice on "." in directory pane
Directories disappear!
These two bugs are new in 5.2. They are probably
related to the fix that prevents the file list from
being out-of-sync with the filter and directory panes
when the filter pathname is invalid. This fix is more
important, IMO. See

I cannot reproduce it (NEdit 5.2 on solaris 2.6).
Does this still happen with NEdit 5.3 ?

I don't see (1) (and I certainly don't see (2) for lack of a
. entry) with Enhanced NEdit 5.5/Lesstif 0.93.94 or the
stock 5.5 binary: Could you verify this problem with NEdit
5.5? If you still see it, could you send us the output of
'nedit -V'?
