So, made the move to Linux a while back and still learning and/or ironing out the differences to get things working quickly in the new environment.
I'm on
Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit
kernel 7.0.0-28-generic
and my file manager is Nemo 6.6.3
One issue I'm struggling with slightly is the myriad ways to use filesystems effectively.
symlinks are useful but have a number of limitations, so whne I found that nemo had favourites that were recognised and used in system file dialogues I thought I had it cracked. Turns out that that may not be the case - at least with NAPS2.
So, I can set up a favourite to networked SMB shares and nested directories (3-5 deep - which is why I want a shortcut).
These are visible in Nemo itself and accessible in some other applications, but when I try to save a PDF from NAPS 2, I see the dialogue in the attached screenshot. Essentially "cannot change to folder as it's not local".
I'm guessing that this is something along the lines of NAPS 2 won't do this at all or there's a wrinkle in how it picks up the location information from the system file dialogue.
Anyone else come across this and a way round before I log a bug report?
