#50 Double quotes show odd characters on display in myth

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Myth 0.22 installation
2. run against a show that has " in the plot.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected : " characters.  I see crylic? in place of the quotes..

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version via svn downloaded last night.  Mediabuntu updated to 9.10

Please provide any additional information below.
The parser is working well, this appears with the data that is retrieved..

EX: begins investigating the “haunted factory” of the *snip*

These double quotes appear to be in a different font / style.  Is there a
way to sanitize the text input to default encoding?

This has finally been fixed.  Only took 3 years :-).
I understand if you have moved onto something else, however, if you still use mythvideo-scanner I would appreciate a confirmation it is fixed.

If you no longer use mythvideo-scanner, i'm interested to know what has replaced it.

I use it once in a while, but usually I am using the internal one with Myth and being very careful with the file names.
