Hi everyone,

The mxBB Project Team is proud to announce the much-awaited release of
mxBB Portal version 2.8.0RC1, the "It's Been a Long Time Coming" edition!
With these release we've met our prediction/promise

mxBB 2.8.x is a completely new development line that adds many new
features and fixes. This is a major update; it's essentially a rewrite of
the legacy 2.7.x code, replacing old code with a new OO (object-oriented)
design.

This release is the first release candidate (RC) version of mxBB 2.8.0.
With these release, we are looking to achieve general public consumption
and iron out anything that has been overlooked these past months.
