I'm curious why the mouse buttons are not more used in mrViewer ?
It seems there are hotkeys for everything but the left/right middle mouse buttons + ctrl/alt/shift are just used to slide frames, move the image, open the context menu or draw the inspect rectangle.
From my rv, nuke and mplay experience it was always possible to zoom in out with the mouse, gain, expose up down etc. . . and thats how I prefer to work for some actions (specialy zooming and gain).
Do you think it's possible to include the mouse movements into the hotkey selection so everyone can use the mouse to there likeing ? I think there is someting similar in place for the wipe function. Pressing w and mrViewer listens to the mouse movement.

Currently you can zoom with the mousewheel and with RMB->left, right , You cannot change the gain with the mouse other than moving the widget. Adding that to be generic to the hotkeys is not trivial.

Can't get that one working, but it might be because I'm using a fairly old wacom and no mouse. I'll try to get my hand on one and test with that one again.

Yes I thought so, thats why it's in the freature requests. And I also know just because I think it's a great idea to have that feature inside doesn't mean it should be. Is there maybe a roadmap to see what your plans are for mrViewer ?

i've been busy the last few days but managed to check at least the wacom issue and it seems my wacom is broken, Everything works as you say with a mouse.
Thanks for the changes to the gain control,

No, there's not roadmap. I add features as they get requested or as I see fit.
Also there's SHIFT+LMB which turns on color area selection.
I added CTRL+LMB to change gain in v4.1.3.
