Hi Joachim Just thought I would drop in some of my experience here. I look after the IT for my tennis club www.windsortennis.co.uk and we implemented MRBS 3.5 years ago for our tennis and squash courts. Campbell was extremely helpful in our project in moving it to its current Phase II stage, as my coding skills are VERY rudimentary. I assume that our requirements were/are similar to your own tennis club so I've listed below some of the changes that were made, some of which have now found their way into full MRBS. 1. Users are assigned a user name and password. They do this by filling on via our website (http://www.windsortennis.co.uk/court-booker/ ) a pre-populated email which is sent to our receptionist/administrator. I've shown the text below, user fills in first name and last name a. Hi, Could you email me a User Name and a temporary password so that I may log into the Windsor Court Booker? I understand that I must change the temporary password to one that is known only to me. My First name is: My Last name is: 2. Once logged in they change the password to one of their own choosing. 3. users must have at least one participant other than themselves or an admin 4. emails sent to all participants, including the booker. 5. Bookings can only be made within 7 days of the current date, only one booking a day is allowed. This can change based on user permission levels. 6. Only the user or admin can change/edit/delete a booking. 7. Users are not permitted to delete bookings made in the past. 8. Only full members allowed to make bookings during peak playing hours. Other categories, such as off-peak members are not given this privilege. 9. Only admin can make repeat bookings, for obvious reasons. 10. Added in the ability to invite up to 6 other players (doubles etc) or enter a block of emails into a single box - useful for inviting players who are external ie not members of the club. 11. Name of booker is visible in the edit_entry page, but not editable (unless by admin) regards, Simon From: Schreibmaier Joachim [mailto:Joa...@hi...] Sent: 14 April 2012 20:01 To: mrb...@li... Subject: Re: [MRBS-general] next trial Yes, the brief description field has to be unique - one booking in the future. Normally the user fill in the complete name of the player. I will debate with my colleagues if it makes sense that a normal user can only delete their entries which they have made with their login or if this shell only be done by the admins. What do you think - when can you provide the code with the maximum booking count depending on the login/brief description? Best Regards, Joachim |
