What about using 2 installs that pull data from the same database. 
First installation would use www.example.com/MRBS-INT and would 
authenticate from LDAP.  Second would use www.example.com/MRBS-EXT and 
would use what ever other scheme you wanted to use.  Both installs would 
use the same database.
