Some of my code (router id stuff) has been accepted into quagga. My MPLS code is still being worked on. I have not yet made the transition to 0.97.3, once I do I will be building new RPMs. On Sun, Nov 14, 2004 at 05:43:29PM +0000, Iain Young wrote: > Hi All, > > What is the status of mpls with respect to quagga 0.97.3 ? > > I grabbed what seemed to be the latest release from sourceforge > (quagga-0.96.4-1.1mpls_1_935.src.rpm), and tried to apply the > patch to my quagga 0.97.3 tree. > > patch(1) detected some hunks had already been applied (no biggie > there) but other hunks failed. > > Is there an updated patch somewhere, or should I just pull the > latest revision from the P4 repository, and generate my own patch to > apply to my own (subversion) branch ? > > > All the Best > > Iain > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: InterSystems CACHE > FREE OODBMS DOWNLOAD - A multidimensional database that combines > robust object and relational technologies, making it a perfect match > for Java, C++,COM, XML, ODBC and JDBC. www.intersystems.com/match8 > _______________________________________________ > mpls-linux-general mailing list > mpl...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mpls-linux-general -- James R. Hi All, What is the status of mpls with respect to quagga 0.97.3 ? I grabbed what seemed to be the latest release from sourceforge (quagga-0.96.4-1.1mpls_1_935.src.rpm), and tried to apply the patch to my quagga 0.97.3 tree. patch(1) detected some hunks had already been applied (no biggie there) but other hunks failed. Is there an updated patch somewhere, or should I just pull the latest revision from the P4 repository, and generate my own patch to apply to my own (subversion) branch ? All the Best Iain |

Hi all,
first,we download
quagga-0.96.4-1.1mpls_1_935.i386.rpm and install it
then run zebra and ldpd so they work correctly but
when we want to compile
quagga-0.96.4-1.1mpls_1_935.src.rpm ,we following
these steps:
1)we patch quagga-mpls.diff from ldp-portable-0.800
and this done correctly(when we use
quagga-mpls-1.935.patch in
quagga-0.96.4-1.1mpls_1_935.src.rpm the patch dosent
run correctly).
2)we change address in create-link and run
it(create-link in dir ldpd).
3)we execute the update-autotools we have this
warnings:
{
/usr/share/aclocal/vorbis.m4:9: warning: underquoted
definition of XIPH_PATH_VORBIS
run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
or see
http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Extending%20aclocal
/usr/share/aclocal/pkg.m4:5: warning: underquoted
definition of PKG_CHECK_MODULES
/usr/share/aclocal/pilot-link.m4:1: warning:

/usr/share/aclocal/audiofile.m4:12: warning:

}
4) a:configure
b:make
c:make install
all of steps run without errors.
5)we execute zebra and ldpd but ldpd doesnt run

Hello. I have installed kernel 2.6.8 with mpls-linux-1.938 on redhat 8.0, then set up iproute2. But, I can't succeed to set up iproute2. Hi, I am facing a (silly?) problem. Since I am newbie, please excuse me. I am interested in the MPLS and just trying to play around with that using my PCs. I have two machines connected with a cross cable. 192.168.0.1(A) and 192.168.0.2(B). m/c A has one dummy0 i/f with ip address 10.0.1.1/24 and m/c B has one dummy0 i/f with ip 11.0.1.1/24. The idea, I have in my mind, is to consider the dummy i/fs as connected to a (virtual) subnet of machines. ospfd adheres to this idea and estabilishes the route in the routing table of A&B. (That is, A has path for 11.0.1.0 in its routing table and B has path for 10.0.1.0 in its routing table) But I don't see any label distribution across the cable. Could you please help? The configuration I have used in ldp is: " hostname mpls password root enable password root ! mpls ip ! interface lo ! ! interface eth0 mpls ip ! interface dummy0 ! ! ! line vty exec-timeout 0 0 log file /var/log/ldpd/ldpd.log " Awaiting your early response and thanks in advance, - Saravanan |

Hi,
i've used MPLS for Linux 1.172 with other packs downloadabl=

for this project. I've done many test on it and i've many qu=
estions
1) Seeing my test network (schema_del_test.jpg) you can notice t=
hat PCLENTO2 is
the only LSR. Seeing its settings, in particular routing=
table, i've seen that
while there is a gateway indicated for the networ=
k 10.0.0.0 there is no one
indicated for 192.168.2.0. Why? Ping goes we=
ll between 192.168.2.1 and 10.0.3.0
(obviosly PCLENTO1 answer ping to 19=
2.168.2.1 from 192.168.1.2
2)I've seen on mailing list that the indicati=
on x/y/z from command "cat
/proc/net/mpls_out" indicate that they are do=
wnloaded x packets for y bytes
totally. Is it correct? Seeing PCLENTO2 o=
utput of that command i see that
44939/484=3D92,84bytes. Is it possible?=
Where do i make error?
Please help me to understand
Thanks in advance =
