You will also need the ldp-portable code base. You will need to modify and run the ldpd/create-links script to symlink the ldp-portable files into the quagga-mpls tree. Then you will need to use 'automake' to build the configure file. Since you are so new to this, perhaphs an easier path for all involved is for you to switch to Fedora 8 and then use the RPMs and/or the RPM build scripts that I've created. Hi list, I've download Quagga-Mpls folder of perforce repository to check RSVP-TE daemon. The problem is that I cannot compile at all. In the folder there aren't any configure file :S when I try to ./configure I obtain the following error: jesus@ubuntu:~/quagga-mpls$ sudo ./configure sudo: ./configure: command not found Looking inside the folder I've realised that there are three files ( config.guess, config.sub, configure.ac) that could configure the compilation but I don't know how to get it. What version of quagga-mpls have you installed? What version of
the kernel RPM did you install? From vtysh try typing the command
show mpls hardware
If that command does not exist, you do not have quagga-mpls installed.

Thanks a lot, your help was precious! The problem was that with all repos active, the package updater automatically tries to update the kernel to the latest version, which is 2.6.24.3-12 as you said, so I couldn't run mpls on it. What I did is turning off all repos but mpls ones, in order to get the kernel version supporting mpls, and now it seems all working... There have been users in the past that have run mpls-linux on 64 bit arch, and there were issues. I made attempts to fix, but I've never heard back from the 64 bit users if it worked. If someone has access to a 64 bit fedora 8 machine I can run them through the steps to build an RPM and we can test. Even better is if someone can give me access to a 64 bit machine. Then you will want to be on the latest code version which can be
retrieved from my development tree. Take a look at:
http://mpls-linux.sourceforge.net/
under "Access to my development repository". You will want a view of:
//depot/quagga-mpls/... //<client name>/quagga-mpls/...
//depot/ldp-portable/... //<client name>/ldp-portable/...
Then you will need to modify and run the quagga-mpls/ldpd/create-links script
to create symbolic links from the ldp-portable source into the quagga-mpls
source.

You need to have the mpls4 module loaded at a minimum. On Fedora 8 I
use the modules system to load it at boot time for my by creating:
/etc/sysconfig/modules/mpls-linux.modules
with the contents of:
#!/bin/sh
modprobe mpls4
Make sure to make the file executable

I'm assuming your running Fedora 8 and want to use yum to install
mpls-linux RPMs. Make sure your don't already have a newer kernel.
2.6.24.3-12 was release last week and I have not produced a mpls-linux
version of it yet. Also make sure you have a
/etc/yum.repos.d/mpls-linux.repo file
