Have you tried compiling without rip (--disable-rip)? I too had various problems while compiling quagga (also try to disable ipv6). I did the autoconf (executing aclocal, autoconf and automake) and
./configure. This works ok, but when trying to build it it starts throwing
errors.
First, in ./lib/memtypes.h, MTYPE_TE and MTYPE_RSVP are not
defined.
Then in the file ./zebra/if_tunnel.c, gives an error about __u16 not
being defined. I solved it by including linux/types.h.
Finally there is an error in RIP that i don't understand. The error is:
rip_zebra.c:305: error: expected '}' before 'QUAGGA_REDIST_STR_RIPD'
My question is, is that normal? I don't know if it is under development
right
now or I picked the wrong branch in the perforce server.
All I want to do for now is trying the lastest working version to try it. Is
there
any way I can obtain it?

Hi! I have kernel 2.6.23.14 (from kernel.org) and it has been customized for embedded system. (Desktop linux is fedora8 (2.6.23.1-42.fc8)) I want to patch this kernel for MPLS forwarding, so I made a patch file using diff command from kernel-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.src.rpm and kernel-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.mpls.1.959.src.rpm . I followed step : 1. rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.src.rpm 2. rpmbuild -bp --target i386 /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/kernel-2.6.spec 3. mv /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/kernel-2.6.23/linux-2.6.23.i386 /usr/src/linux-2.6.23.14-64.fc7 4. rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.mpls.1.959.src.rpm 5. rpmbuild -bp /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/kernel-2.6.spec 6. mv /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/kernel-2.6.23/linux-2.6.23 /usr/src/linux-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.mpls.1.959 7. cd /usr/src 8. diff -uNr linux-2.6.23.14-64.fc7 linux-2.6.23.14-64.fc7.mpls.1.959 > kernel.patch I looked content of "kernel.patch", but it has about 70000 lines. Too big. I think this file has some unnecessary parts.. (maybe it has something to do with "....../redhat/" folder, I think) How can I make a correct .patch file using diff..? (Also I wonder this correct patch file works fine for my 2.6.23.14 kernel, but I will not ask that question....... :D) I will appreciate any reply. |

I'm working on building a new quagga-mpls RPM that contains all of the recent bug fixes and development. I have one last issue to resolve and then I will publish new RPMs. At this point build a RPM from the source from perforce will result in a broken ldpd.
