hi !

i noticed that Mplayer (the GUI, i *think*) eats huge CPU after
you read a movie for few seconds then stop playing it. the
process now eats about 50% of the CPU on my g4/400 doing
NOTHING (no movie playing) until i quit it.
Confirmed on a friend's ibook 500 too.

Mplayer v1 didn't have this problem

bye

I've seen this also after a movie completes playing. The
application appears to be at rest, but continues consuming
20 to 30% of CPU time.

Clicking the Stop button again cures the problem for some
    reason.

Because new version 2 beta 5 was released. If you are still having
the same problems with new version report the bug again. But
first look if the bug was not already reported. It's not much fun to
reply to five reports reporting the same bug.
    Thanx
