Incorrect support for Unicode file names

The handling of Unicode file names is not correct. When during a scan, the frontend encounters a file name containing accented characters like á or é, the scan stops and you have to abort the scan manually. On command line mode, you get a message like “Cannot open input file "Koite, Habib & Bamada - Wassiye.mp3" or it is empty”.
To recreate the problem simply name a file like:
Jussara Silveira - Lá Vem a Baina.mp3
Or
Koité, Habib & Bamada - Wassiye.mp3
It happens to me also, unfortunately. And it's frustrating when you have to scan 80.000+ songs. You know? I'm well aware, that's a small bug, but at least make it pass the file, so that i don't have to stop the operation, and move (forward) past file and start another operation without "THE" file :)
I hope i made myself understood, i'm from Romania (English is not my native language).
Thank you, and apart from this problem, THIS PROGRAM WILL HELP ME ALOT!
I have corrupt files, work as dj with a lot of music. I have some problems with some mp3 files and/or FLAC. But i'll try to find what's happening and why.
