@Ralf Quint The language seems to be Czech, at least the developer is from Czechia (GitHub profile - https://github.com/JasnaPaka). I used MozBackup in the past and it always worked flawlessly yet I used it with old versions of Thunderbird. Now I want to switch from Thunderbird to Interlink and I don't know whether it would work. I have not used similar tool for such jobs.
The problem is not that Delphi/Pascal developers are a rarity, it is much rather an issue of the source code, both identifiers and comments not being in English (Czech?).
In march 2022 Mozbackup is still working even under Windows 10 64 bits 21H2 but you should know that Mozbackup (1.5.1) does not work in batch mode with Thunderbird 97.1.0 !!! If you look at the Mozbackup error.log (under C:\users\xxxxxx\Appdata\roaming\mozbackup you'll see this error message "Bad application defined in config file" because Mozbackup is written in 32bits and It cannot work (in batch mode) with a thunderbird version 64 bits. If you want that Mozbackup works in batch mode you have to...

After more than 10 years of inactivity it is unlikely that anyone would take over this project, especially having in mind that Delphi/Pascal developers are a rarity nowadays. This excellent project seems dead beyond hopes of revival.
Thank you again! My problem is actually with backing up the recent Firefox (I am working on diagnosis, but looks like 1.5.1 and 1.5.2beta1 both failed to backup or restore certain addons they had done OK before... in several profiles, they still restore earlier backups perfectly!) - do you think your version will work for firefox? (Addons which malfunctioned after mozrestored: tree tabs, zoompage and crappy firetitle) (FF was autoupdated when the backup was done, 25 Sept 2019, so maybe was v68? now...

Yes, i change the ZIP engine from 1.90 to 1.92. Then i need to change a little bit of the code, so i can compile it under Embarcadero Delphi 10.3.1 Community Edition . At last i change the make to compile a 32 and 64 Bit version of Mozillabackup. (You see both Versions in the ZIP. ) Both Versions works here well .
Ralf Figge thank you! Can you say what you have changed?
Here is a new Testversion from MozBackup (1.5.2 Beta 2). (today compiled). It is make from the source from 1.5.2 Beta 1) @Tom Daniel : Test it. Maybe that your problem is away. If not, i need some more info about the Problem
Which Problems ? I am changing the source to compile it with Delphi10.3 (x86 and x64). There are many Comments in Czech, which I translate in english and german to understand where he has make what.
In 2019, I'm unable to find a downloadable copy of MozBackup 1.5.2 Beta-1 . I'll use v.1.5.1, but it sounds like others have had problems with it. Are there any supported alternatives?
The author of MozBaxckup has stated that he can no longer support this app. The app is written in Pascal. The open software source code is available at: https://github.com/JasnaPaka/mozbackup MozBackup is a great backup app for the Thunderbird email client and the Firefox web browser. I would dearly wish someone could take over supporting and improving MozBaxkup. It would need to be someone with a solid background in Pascal. Admittedly Pascal is a pretty old programming language but I suspect7 there...
