Actually, al least in my case, the problem was due to the fixed-size translation data pool used by the Windows GUI which was too small. Mounir explained the problem in this issue: https://github.com/veracrypt/VeraCrypt/issues/1587#issuecomment-4700412843 and fixed this by increasing the pool size to 4 MB in commit c8a2b89

I reported a similar issue regarding language no longer properly displayed after upgrading to 1.26.24 on a computer running a French Windows 10 Family. This problem still exists with the new 1.26.29. Does it correspond to the one you ran into?
