At the moment TAC (v1.0) does only allow to create atlases containing layers of different zoom levels of one map source.
A common wish is to extend TAC so that it is possible to create atlases that contain layers from different map sources.
A short term solution would be to allow atlas merging while creation: Before creating the atlas the user can select an directory containing an existing atlas and upon atlas creation the newly created layers are merged into that existing atlas. This behavior would require not that large changes to TAC (easier to implement).
The long term solution would be to extend TAC so that the user can define an atlas with multiple layers and save this as a profile. Upon atlas creation all layers (of the same or different map sources) would be downloaded as usual. This requires massive changes in the download logic, the TAC-internal definition what "an atlas is" and the GUI.
