When running MOBAC with a map source of OpenStreetMap 4uMaps.eu, all the tiles say "TLS Error: Untrusted certificate...". There are also a bunch of errors printed to the terminal such as.. "ERROR m.program.download.MobacTrustManager - SSL error: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target"
When I switch to the USGS National maps, the tiles all load correctly and I can zoom, move, etc.. Unfortunately it's the OpenStreetMaps that I really want to use and I'm not sure the right way to go about debugging/fixing this.
I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 with openjdk 11.0.22 2024-01-16.
BTW... the viewer I use, GPXSee is able to load tiles from OpenStreetMaps in online mode fine, though I don't know if the URL it uses is the same one used here.
The 4uMaps.eu server is gone - please read the whole story here in the forum
https://sourceforge.net/p/mobac/forum/general/thread/106784dc1d/
Therefore errors like those you have posted are expected and can not be solved.
Reading the forum page above, the very last post on 2024-02-28 says that https://www.4umaps.com/ is online again. Does that mean it should work with MOBAC or am I missing something? Are there required config changes to download from this site or are there other issues?
Please check the website yourself, I don't see an OSM online map there. I can find only a Google Maps based view.
