Please provide more information. Without any context when the error happened it is not possible to understand or fix the underlaying problem.
I uncompressed and tried to start the program and will not appear the map! Only an "x" in place of the map! I had never used this program was the first time!
Just to point out my system is windows 8.1 64x!
This can happen if your system is configured to use IPv6 but your Internet connection does not support IPv6.
I'm suspecting that the "Mobile Atlas Creator" does not work on x64 systems!
I have a notbook on the same internet only q it is a windows 7 ultimate 32 bits and perfectly works MOBILE ATLAS CREATOR .... already in my descktop win 64x 8.1 no longer works!
MOBAC runs fine on x64. It is only Java that has problems with your system. You should disable IPv6 in Java and then everything will work as expected.
Start MOBAC using command line to disable IPv6:
javaw -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar Mobile_Atlas_Creator.jar
I issued the command and appeared an error message written:
Error: Unable to access jarfile Mobile_Atlas_Creator.jar
Of course you have to execute this command from within the directory where you installed MOBAC into...
I issued the command in the directory and opened the the program, but he still does not present the maps!
If it is the same error the networking part of Java seems to be totally broken. May be try to deinstall everything related to Java and install Java version 8 instead.
Use code:
System.setProperty("java.net.preferIPv4Stack", "true");
It work for me.
