Subject: MJPEG frame rate conversion utility Hello Gernot To be short, I have (almost) successfully compiled version 1.6 because I wanted to create VCD's with content shot with my digital camera. Everything was ok until I noticed that the resulting stream was much faster than the original. It is because mpeg2enc assumes that the source frame rate is the correct one, I think. To fix this, I've written an utility (yuvfps) that up or down-samples the frame rate of a YUV4MPEG stream using bresenham's technique. As a side effect, it is also useful to generate slow-motion or fast-forward special effects. As I am new to Linux, Open Source and Unix in general (but with 15 years of Windows/SQL Server/Oracle/Java software development under my belt), I don't know yet how to use CVS or what to do in case you are interested in adding the utility to your collection. =BF What do you think ?. Oh, in case I've addressed the wrong person please tell me. Alfonso |
