Hi MitoSalt team,
I recently read a paper titled "[Engineering mtDNA deletions by reconstituting end
joining in human mitochondria]" and was impressed by the performance of MitoSAlt. To evaluate and further explore the method, I downloaded the human sequencing data (accession number: SRR30599486) from a public database and attempted to replicate the analysis using MitoSAlt.
However, during the execution, I encountered an error as follows:
text
samtools view: error reading file "tmp_SRR30599486_human_1.sam": Input/output error
samtools view: error closing "tmp_SRR30599486_human_1.sam": -5
The error seems to occur during the SAM file processing step. I have checked the following:
-Disk space is sufficient
-File permissions appear normal
-The input FASTQ files are intact
Could you kindly advise what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
