The vim support files for the version of vim that comes with MSYS can be found in the msysDTK, along with a minimal build of perl. If you wish to use your own version of vim, I suggest you start the execution similar to ``start vim foo.c''. This will open your version of vim in a cmd shell so that you won't run into the tty/pty bugs. The TERM variable is set to msys. You may wish to set term to vt52 or pcansi in your .vimrc file.
