Hi, I have a question about using msys with ssh (included in the msys development pack). When I attempt to use ssh the host replies with "unknown terminal 'msys'." So, to fix this I tried "export TERM=vt102." This allow ssh to work fine, but when I try a simple command (i.e. less) in my local msys terminal, I get "WARNING: terminal is not fully function." To fix this, I have to go back to TERM=msys. I dont like the idea of having to keep on changing my TERM variable every time I switch between a remote terminal via ssh and the local msys terminal. Has anyone had a similiar experience that found a solution? Have I got it all wrong trying to change the TERM variable? All help is appreciated, even useful flames. :) Thanks! ________________________________________________________ InterMail Provided by InterMind http://www.intermind.net |
