Yo!
I'm a beginner programmer and I'd love to get started with minGW. I've
downloaded every package I could get my hands on from sourceforge and the
VIDE IDE. I crated a new project and pasted some code in there. But when I
hit 'build' the following error came up:
'Unable to create make process:
make -f ...."
?? I tried yo write 'make' at the command prompt - nothing. I searched for
it and it couldn't be found!? Okay, instinctivily I feel that there should
be a make.exe somewhere. ('gcc' works fine...)
I surfed around the net like a maniac and a came across something called
Jam. It claims to do just what make does. Will it work with the VIDE?
I've been looking at too many FAQs and I'm really getting confused. What am
I missing? or perhaps: "What do I need? to get started..?"
(Is it the VIDE? I'd really like to use some kind of IDE with minGW. Do you
have any recommendation there?)
Sorry for my somewhat confusing mail. Erm.. Hope it's readable..
I'd be greatful for any kind of help! Even a link to another FAQ ;)
Cheers
/Oscar
