It did not work for me either. You have to disable Windows Problem Reporing in Action Center. On my system (Windows 8): Control Panel -> (Search for Action Center) -> Action Center -> Change Action Center Settings -> Scroll to "Related Settings" -> Problem Reporting Settings I did not have to do this on Windows XP, which I was using the last time I used Dr MinGW.
