I mean that for a returning user that want a simple and fast installation it could run all commands at once using a batch file to issue all commands at once. Windows call it a .bat file in Linux like we have the shell or bash. echo "#!/bin/bash" >> setup-mingw.sh echo "mingw-get install msys-wget" >> setup-mingw.sh echo "mingw-get install msys-base" >> setup-mingw.sh echo "mingw-get install gcc-bin" >> setup-mingw.sh ... For costumer user we could put a quick setup so that returning user could simple download mingw-get it from site and enter the terminal and finally run sh setup-mingw.sh for a quick env. For mingw maintainers that would allow other useful packages to be pulled in by default. One kind of those shell files could be used to instruct to perform the msvcr environment change. This is very used on Gentoo Linux to setup configuration files and other stuff. |
