Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Out of Date Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: LBorgman (lborgman) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Can't start msys after installing cygwin 1.7 beta Initial Comment: Just that - or I believe this is the reason I can't start msys. I get the error @c:\msys\1.0\bin\sh --login %* AllocationBase 0x0, BaseAddress 0x715B0000, RegionSize 0x150000, State 0x10000 c:\msys\1.0\bin\sh.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2012-06-14 07:55 Message: No response from OP after questioned by Keith. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Keith Marshall (keithmarshall) Date: 2009-06-09 06:46 Message: I wouldn't be so sure. What version of MSYS? What version of the underlying OS? Does it work, if you start MSYS correctly, (i.e. by running msys.bat)? This looks remarkably like the symptoms of improper startup on w64, (which would make this user error, rather than a bug). Make sure there are no references to Cygwin directories in your PATH, and use msys.bat to start MSYS sessions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=2803244&group_id=2435 |
