Initial Comment:
libmoldnames maps stat and fstat to _stat and _fstat. Unfortunately recent versions of msvcrXX.dll do not contain the functions _stat and _fstat. 
Instead Visual studio uses inline functions to replace stat and fstat. (See
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/vcgeneral/thread/cbd12c1b-80e2-4659-a889-90b79ea007a0/ for the definitions.)

The attached patch adds similar inline functions to include/sys/stat.h.
