Hi all, as you have been so helpful on my commandline too short issue, here come the next one ;-) There seems something is going on behind the scenes in MSys bash or wherever, if I start an application and give a path as a commandline parameter. To mee it looks like there is some automatic/heuristic check, if the application is a MSys application and therefore understands MSys native notation (/c/mingw/...) or is not and therefore needs to get a Windows path. It looks like the Windows path will always be one with forward slashes, which unfortunately not all apps do support (in my case Digital Mars compiler). Could anybody shed some light on this one? Many thanks and best regards Axel |
