Hi all. This must have been asked a gazillion times, but I''m unable to find a satisfactory answer: Is there an all-in-one-one-click installation package of mingw that comes with a reasonable recent version of gcc (4.4 or 4.5) that also allows to pull in optional packages easily? All I need is make, gcc and for ease of use, all of the msys packages listed at sourceforge (autoconf, automake, m4, regex, pthreads, ....). http://mingw.org/wiki/HOWTO_Install_the_MinGW_GCC_Compiler_Suite Was last updated July 2008 and describes a somewhat strange manual procedure that's also flagged as unsupported. By now I managed to find gcc-4.5...lzma files deeply hidden in the directory structure on the download pages on sourceforge - but I can not believe that users are required to download a multitude of packages first to then unpack and install them manually. I must have overlooked something?! After wasting a couple of hours and getting nowhere, could someone please point me to such an all-in-one-one-click-all-shiny installation package or, if really not available, to a fully supported step-by-step installation procedure? Many thanks Daniel |
