Hello, I've tried to find the list of newer packages to manually install MSYS. Looking at the wiki: http://www.mingw.org/wiki/MSYS There is no link to a recommended manual installation mechanism. Looking at the SF files: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/ Seems that BaseSystem got several releases since 1.0.11. At this time, the following are the files I've used to build a 1.0.11 msys installation: msysCORE-1.0.11-20080826.tar.gz findutils-4.3.0-MSYS-1.0.11-3-bin.tar.gz MSYS-1.0.11-20090120-dll.tar.gz tar-1.19.90-MSYS-1.0.11-2-bin.tar.gz autoconf2.5-2.61-1-bin.tar.bz2 autoconf-4-1-bin.tar.bz2 perl-5.6.1-MSYS-1.0.11-1.tar.bz2 crypt-1.1-1-MSYS-1.0.11-1.tar.bz2 bison-2.3-MSYS-1.0.11-1.tar.bz2 Elements are extracted in that particular order. Does anyone have a hint on which newer packages replace those one? I've started with this: msysCORE-1.0.14-1-msys-1.0.14-bin.tar.lzma findutils-4.4.2-2-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar.lzma tar-1.23-1-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar.lzma libiconv-1.13.1-2-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar.lzma libiconv-1.13.1-2-msys-1.0.13-dll-2.tar.lzma sed-4.2.1-2-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar.lzma bison-2.4.2-1-msys-1.0.13-bin.tar.lzma But things like libiconv just showed up as dependency of tar. Is there any document that outlines the newer installation procedure for the packages? I've tried search the list but no keyword combination has triggered a good source of information. Thank you in advance. -- Luis Lavena AREA 17 - Perfection in design is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but rather when there is nothing more to take away. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry |
