When I first began using MinGW I used the automated installer to get up and running. The command gcc -dumpversion reports 3.4.5. Looking at gcc.gnu.org it looks like the current stable version is 4.4.3. Is there a recommended procedure somewhere that describes what I should do to ensure I have the latest stable utilities, compiler, etc. installed before I begin a serious project? Thank you in advance. Tim |
