Category: runtime >Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Kai Tietz (ktietz70) >Assigned to: Chris Sutcliffe (ir0nh34d) Summary: Support of pseudo relocation version 2 Initial Comment: This patch enables the use of the new feature in binutils "pseudo-relocation version 2". It additionally enhances the pseudo-relocation version 1 (the old version) to be able to write to read-only sections. So the need in gcc for PIC code using data instead of rdata and in binutils to mark text as writeable isn't anymore necessary. This patch is a diff to the mingw-w64 source tree and provided as is under public domain. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Date: 2009-03-05 03:00 Message: I have upload a revised patch (pseudo-reloc.c.diff) against mingw-runtime CVS. It adds back the preamble, modified to acknowledge Kai's contrib. I've also guarded the debug fprintf's with #ifdef DEBUG and made some trivial formatting changes. The ChangeLog entry is 2009-03-05 Kai Tietz <kai...@on...> * pseudo-reloc.c : Rewrite to enable pseudo_reloc version 2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2009-01-26 11:36 Message: The patch removes the file preamble. Please correct this issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=302435&aid=2537769&group_id=2435 |
