Bugs item #2620845, was opened at 2009-02-20 19:38 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=2620845&group_id=2435 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: binutils Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Alexey Pushkin (foobar57) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: bogus link warnings Initial Comment: When linking in some MSVC-compiled libraries, the linker produces literally hundreds of lines of following warnings: Warning: .drectve `-defaultlib:MSVCRT ' unrecognized Warning: .drectve `-defaultlib:OLDNAMES ' unrecognized .... 1000 more times. Ideally, 'ld' should actually interpret these assembler directives at least the OLDNAMES one. Alternatively it could simply ignore them. Or print a single warning but not print hundreds of them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=2620845&group_id=2435 |
