Hi, Today I downloaded MinGW-5.1.4.exe and MSYS-1.0.10.exe. The first installed without any problems, but the 2nd one gave me an error at the end of installation: C:\msys\1.0\postinstall>..\bin\sh.exe pi.sh AllocationBase 0x71420000, BaseAddress 0x715B0000, RegionSize 0x83000, State 0x1000 C:\msys\1.0\bin\sh.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 0 (I hope I transcribed that correctly, as when it happened I foolishly just took a screenshot instead of just copy/pasting the text.) If I now try to run MSYS from the desktop icon, then I get many tens of rxvt windows appearing. They repeatedly spawn each other, until eventually something fails and they all exit. I am using 64-bit Vista Home Premium. I kept the default install options (including install locations) for both the MinGW and MSYS installs. I also do not have cygwin installed (nor have I ever on this machine). -- Paul Richards |
