[Mingw-users] gcc version

Hello All,

i have downloaded the last stable mingw package.

I see that the gcc compiler version is:

gcc version 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special)

So my questions:

Why the package is still aligned to gcc 3.4 ?
I have seen available a gcc 4.3.0, but it is a testing version.
Is there some chance to have a binary kit with a stable gcc > 4, like 
4.0 or 4.2 ?
