That's sound advice. Do note, however, that the suite of build scripts we provide, and which I recommended earlier, are configured to download and build from the source packages *we* distribute. My OpenSUSE-10.0 compiler is, to all intents and purposes, identical with the GCC-3.4.5 MinGW Special build, which Danny has provided, and which we also still distribute, as our current pre-built binary offering.
