Any desire in moving forward with this (brilliant) idea? Well, I'd hoped for a rather less apathetic response from the MinGW Community; out of a subscriber population of ~1100, only nine responses is extremely disappointing :-( Many thanks to the nine who did respond. Not all of these expressed a firm opinion on the continuation of the fora, but none came down in favour of keeping them. Indeed, I had one response from a former subscriber, monitoring the list through gmane, who had cancelled his subscription because he found the disjointed bombardment of the list by forum postings just too nauseating. So, since I myself dislike these forum postings, and in the absence of any voice speaking up in their defence, I will discontinue them soon. If *you* hold a contrary POV, then this is your last chance to speak up, but please do so quickly; leave it another week, and you will be too late! Regards, Keith. |
